Today (12 March 2025), Ms. Sirikanya Tansakul, a party-list MP for the Prachachon Party and deputy party leader, spoke about the government’s preparation to move forward with the distribution of digital wallets, Phase 3, to the 16-20 age group, which has been questioned as vote buying in advance. She said that it was a strange choice of age group, asking why it had to be 16-20 years old. Because using a digital wallet is not complicated, if people know how to use the PromptPay system, they can use it just by scanning the QR code. Therefore, there is no reason to use someone who is technologically savvy between the ages of 16-20.
